Our beloved Women's Assistant Captain, Erica Denison, has run off and gotten married to the supremely affable and handsome Steve Mcginnes.  Because when the moment strikes, you've got to go with it!

Those of you who are friends with Clement Ong on FaceBook know how prolific he is as a writer.  So finally, he's gone out on a limb and is making his writing a bit more public.  He's started a blog at http://clement-ong.blogspot.com/. It's an entertaining read, and he usuall throws in some Singlish so readers like me can look up and learn new words (So shiok!).  Check it out, post a comment, wish him well in the "Are You Men's Health Enough?" 2009 competition.

Good practice sessions last week.  Let's not lose the momentum. 
Thursday's practice is again being planned for the 12th.  Last week we
had 13 paddlers.  Let's work for a full boat.  Nasi will advise us what
to do (if we continue to have a good showing then he will coach the
session).  Try to be there by 5:15 if possible. In not then, let me
know if you will be able to attend at 6 or 6:30  and we will return to

We are hosting the "Are You Men's Health Enough?" 2009 contestants for a workshop on dragon boating.  It will be appearing in the April or May edition of Men's Health.  Let me know if you can help out! There's a (remote) chance you could be in the article!

We will have a late afternoon practice this Thursday evening, beginning at 5:15 with the boat launching at 5:30ish.  We will be off the water by dusk (7-7:20 PM)

If you want to participate but can't get to the beach in time - Let me know what time you can be there and we will paddle back to pick you up.  We will have a life vest, paddle, and plastic ice bag to place

your possessions in.

Matthias Urban is back in town for a few days this week! He just stopped over today at the office.

Despite a busy work schedule, our "Beast Master" will be at Harry's (Boat Quay) this coming Thursday evening, March 5, 9pm. He would love to "breathe down our neck" again, over a few beers and more ;-))
