Hello Everyone,

As mentioned, I am organising a Tour of the Tiger Brewery for the Dragon Boat Team/ Canadian Association and friends on Friday 23 October @6.30pm.

As you may be aware of, flash floods had just recently hit the greater
part of Manila. Many Filipinos are now still homeless and hungry. The
entire country is also fervently hoping that a super typhoon that has
been predicted to hit the Philippines this weekend does not wreak much
more damage.

My friends and I would like to solicit your help
by asking those of you who are willing to donate food (i.e. canned
goods, biscuits, noodles, etc.) and used towels/blankets. For some
reason, old clothes are discouraged as donation because of Philippine
importation rules.

Come join us and celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with lots of great food at the American Club.

Mid Autumn Festival is a time for reunion.  So, stay back after practice to celebrate or howl at the full moon with me.  Mooncakes and other traditional Chinese festive delicacies will be provided.  For those with pyromania tendency, bring your own lanterns, lighter and candles.

The fab folks at Harry's have sent a reminder about their location in the F1 zone.  Apparently, according to the attached map, you will have to walk a tight rope out to a big Harry's logo floating in Marina Bay.  For those of you with F1 tix, be sure to spend generously and show some love to Harry's.
